ARCTIC | ORTELIUS

We loved Antarctica so let’s head to the Arctic!  The word arctic actually comes from the greek word for northern bear (polar bear) and that’s what we’re hoping to see along with some stunning landscapes and sone in-water encounters.  Join us aboard the Ortelius for a circumnavigation of Spitsbergen.  There will be diving, snorkeling, kayaking and land excursions on this 15-night trip and unlike Antarctica, no crossings!  We fly into and out of Longyearbyen in the Svalbard archipelago which is halfway between Norway and the North Pole, high above the arctic circle.  Don’t have a drysuit but want to snorkel?  No problem, Faith from Blue Green Expeditions will provide you with a drysuit for the trip.
