Amazing action so close to home!  We were lucky to join the Mexican Sardine Run from the comfort of the Nautilus Gallant Lady liveaboard with our friends from Backscatter.  Heading out on the pangas each day with our expert guide (who, as with all the local guides, used to be fisherman) meant looking for birds that meant a bait ball was waiting for us below.  We dropped in on whales, sea lions, mahi mahi, marlin – all feeding on the shoals on sardines.  Being in the water with this kind of action is indescribable and we can’t wait to head back in 2025 and 2026.
